Wimberley City Secretary Graduates from Texas Women’s Leadership Institute
Laura Calcote, the Wimberley City Secretary, graduated from the 2021 Texas Women’s Leadership Institute in December. She was one of 20 women executives who were chosen to participate in the program, which prepares and inspires women to become city managers in Texas.

PEC approves reducing rate paid back to solar power users
Pedernales Electric Cooperative Board of Directors approved unanimously reducing the amount of money paid back to solar power participants Dec. 17 to ensure a contribution of utility payments considered “fair for all members,” officials said.

Classic Car Club donates to Barnabas
The 12 Kings Car Club, which hosts the Coffee and Cars classic car show at Blanco Brew on the first Sunday of every month, donated $575 to Barnabas Connection. The club also made a donation to the Hays Caldwell Women’s Center. The donations came from merchandise sales and other funds collected during the monthly car show. Central Texas Theatre Academy celebrates one year anniversary
Central Texas Theatre Academy celebrated their first anniversary over the weekend. The celebration included a bounce house, face painting station, games and multiple of children’s favorite princesses and superheroes.
