Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts of Wimberley Troop 127 took part in honoring those soldiers and sailors who gave the ultimate sacrifice. On Saturday morning, the troops gathered at the Wimberley Cemetery. With help from the Wimberley VFW, the troop placed flags on the graves of those veterans who are no longer with us. Memorial Day used to be known as Decoration Day, which originated following the Civil War. It officially became a federal holiday in 1971 establishing the last Monday in May to commemorate the men and women who died while in the military service, according to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Appraisal district accused of using private real estate data
The Hays Central Appraisal District has landed themselves in hot water by violating its terms of service, according to the Austin Board of Realtors (ABoR). Allegations from the Travis County real estate entity states that the Hays Central Appraisal District used ABoR’s Multiple Listing Service (MLS) real estate data without authorization.
