Wilkes named new WHS principal
Wilkes named new WHS principal
Wimberley ISD is pleased to announce that Ryan Wilkes has been named the next principal of Wimberley High School. The WISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Superintendent Greg Bonewald’s recommendation at its special-called meeting on August 3. The move will go into effect following the conclusion of the 2022 Fall Semester when current WHS Principal Jason Valentine assumes the duties of WISD Assistant Superintendent. 08/11/2022 12:00 AM

Hermosa Fire contained at 44 acres
A wildfire broke out on the edge of the Wimberley Valley last week burning an estimated 44 acres over six days before essentially being contained early this week. As of the morning of August 9, the fire was close to 100% contained with the hope for the fire to be deemed officially contained later in the day. 08/11/2022 12:00 AM
