Winter’s Eve spreads cheer
Winter’s Eve spreads cheer
Winter’s Eve proved to be a study in cooperation and generosity as the Wimberley Chamber and its new committee, the Wimberley Merchants Alliance, partnered to bring a merry launch to the holidays. Families lined the Cypress Creek bridge to watch Santa roll by in the downtown parade collecting gifts to go to the Christmas Store at the Barnabas Connection. The Grinch, Dr. Seuss’s famous sourpuss made an appearance as did elves, Princess Elsa, and other characters of the season. Businesses provided treats and good deals to shoppers while live music kept spirits bright. Gift givers will enjoy the discounts and specials from Wimberley Merchants called the “12 Days of Cheer” that began December 9 and will end December 21. Watch for details on their Facebook page, Wimberley Merchants Association. 12/14/2023 12:00 AM

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
All over Wimberley, the turkey and pumpkins have been stowed to make way for the glittering lights and ornaments of Christmas, Hanukkah and the other holiday observances and rituals of the season. Gone are the autumn leaves from the Cypress Creek bridge and in their place are the holly and wreaths depicting the winter celebrations ahead. Businesses around the square and in the Quarter Shops are hanging lights, decking columns and creating vignettes to get customers into the holiday spirit. 12/06/2023 12:00 AM
