Wimberley’s own incoming softball freshman and All-American, Tynleigh Anderson was chosen to participate in the MLB Softball Elite Development Invitational. Hosted by Major League Baseball and USA Softball, the invitational is an elite, multi-day development event for high school female athletes that provides specialized instruction, competitive gameplay and off-field mentorship from Olympians and NCAA coaches.
Only 64 athletes nationwide were chosen to attend the event held at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Florida. Ten of the 64 athletes were from Texas, and only five freshmen in the country were chosen.
