Swim Season opened at Blue Hole on May 1 and continues through Labor Day and weekends in September from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Prices for adults from 13 to 59 are $12, for Seniors, youth and military $8 and for Wimberley residents, $6. Owl Prowl, one of the park’s most popular events, Owl Prowl is a night hike across Blue Hole Regional park in search of owls. 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Practice owl calls, dissect an owl pellet and explore the park at night. Each month Wimberley Parks and Rec staff lead an easy to moderate hike with a theme – from riparian systems, to learning about trees, to covering the history of our parks – that are ADA accessible, suitable for all ages and free.
