The Texans season came to an end last Friday as Wimberley fell in a three-game series to the Robinson Rockets in the state semifinal round.
Wimberley finishes the season with a 26-10-1 overall record.
The Rockets struck first in the top of the third inning, scoring on an RBI double to take a 1-0 lead over the Texans.
Later in the fifth, Robinson added two more runs on an RBI groundout and a sacrifice fly before scoring again in the top of the sixth, making it a 4-0 deficit for Wimberley.
The Texans answered back in the bottom of the sixth as Alex Abrusley hit an RBI single to cut the deficit down to 4-1.

The Rockets added another run in the top of the seventh before keeping Wimberley off the score en route to taking Game 1 5-1.
In the Game 2, the Texans offense came roaring back in the top of the first.

Sage Hall started the at-bat with a RBI single followed by Maverick Jacobs being hit by the pitch with the bases loaded.
Santana Raye hit an RBI single followed by an RBI single by Jake Dewell made it a 4-0 lead.
Dane Mignerey forced a bases loaded walk before a fielder’s choice allowed another run to score for Wimberley, extending the lead to 6-0.
Jayden Hall then connected with a two-run RBI double followed by an RBI single by Cannon Couch as the Texans ended the first inning with a commanding 9-0 lead.
In the top of the fifth, Wimberley struck again as Raye hit an RBI single followed by another RBI single by Mignerey.
Gentry McGinnis connected with an RBI double before Jayden Hall hit an RBI double of his own, scoring the final run of the Texan offense en route to a 13-0 win.

Alex Abrusley pitched a five-winning shutout, allowing three hits, three walks and striking out seven batters.
Going into the Game 3, both the Rockets and the Texans looked to punch their ticket to Austin.
The Rockets scored first with an RBI single in the bottom of the first to take the early lead.
Unfortunately for the Texans, the one run was all Robinson needed as the Rockets went on to win 1-0 over Wimberley.
The season marked another historic run for the Texans baseball program who advanced to the state semifinals for the second time in program history, the first coming in 2025 when Wimberley advanced to the state title game.
Much like their softball counterparts, the Texans are continuing to build a program that can sustain multiple deep playoff runs in the quest of capturing their first ever state title.
