June 6 Market Days offers ideas for Father's Day

Wimberley Lions have some “tasty surprises” for the upcoming Market Days on Saturday, June 6. At concession 9, School Yard Dogs, a local non-profit, will join forces with the Coffee Guys, to offer handmade bakery goods and a variety of espresso coffees.

School Yard Dogs will be selling quarter pound classic chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter short bread covered with candied peanuts, cinnamon rolls, and chocolate and vanilla lemon cupcakes.

And to celebrate the first Market Days of summer, concessions 1, 2, 3 and 4 will sell cups of refreshing watermelon.

For anyone looking for Father’s Day gifts, Market Days has 450 booths offering yard art, cowboy boots, clothing, fine art, woodwork, plants, jewelry, kettle corn, toys, olive oil, homemade preserves, custom furniture, and a range of collectibles.

Featured at three free venues will be singers Movin’ Melvin Brown (Pavilion Stage), Cheyenne Saenz (Shady Grove Stage), and Chris Winkler (Hilltop Stage).

Ten Lions' concessions offer summertime fare: hotdogs, hamburgers, sausage wraps, sodas, beer and wine, and great barbecue sandwiches and meals using the finest beef and secret sauce.

Wimberley Market Days, the oldest and largest market in Central Texas, is owned and operated by the Wimberley Lions Club.

Ample parking is available across from Lions Field, a 20-acre shaded wood laced with vendor-lined pathways.

Market Days takes place rain or shine from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Lions Field, 601 FM 2325.
