To honor U.S. military men and women who died in service to the country, members of VFW Post #6441 with members of Scout Troop 127 and Cub Scout Pack 127 placed flags

on 429 veteran gravesites in the Wimberley Cemetery on Old Kyle Road. Memorial Day, the official day of mourning for this sacrifice, is held the last Monday in May and is a solemn day. Additional VFW Post #6441 members performed the same act of gratitude at cemeteries throughout the area.
