In what amounts to be the largest investment in their history, the Wimberley Community Civic Club granted $65,000 to 25 local organizations and $50,000 in scholarships to 17 high school graduates.

“It is an honor to continue giving back to many deserving local non-profits and students. This year, we were able to give back $115,000 which is a record for our organization,” said Alicia Dedman, Grants Committee Chair.

Funding for the Civic Club’s scholarships and grants comes from donations from businesses, individuals and events throughout the year. “We raise funds that we give back to the community through the generosity of our partners and from many events such as the Spring Events, the Wimberley Home Tour, the Style Show and Breakfast with Santa,” said Christine Walker, Scholarship Committee Chair.
