The Wimberley Community Chorus will “Say it with Music,” in two performances in Avey Hall at The Chapel of the Hills, on May 16 and 17. The chorus, under the direction of Scott Davis and accompanied by Karla Cruz, will present a program of midcentury musical favorites including “The Music Man,” “Oklahoma,” “It’s a Grand Night for Singing” and “Stormy Weather.” They will also perform contemporary classics, “The Awakening” and “A Step Outside in the Summer.”
The performances will be held at 7 p.m., May 16, and at 3 p.m. on May 17. Following each concert, a reception with refreshments for the chorus and the audience will be held. Free to attend, donations are always appreciated and have allowed the chorus to present free concerts for 46 years. The Chapel of the Hills is located at 14601 RR 12.
