The three insurance runs proved to be the difference maker as the Texans kept Navarro from scoring in the top of the seventh to secure the Game 1 victory.
In Game 2, the Texans made the trip down to Navarro in the hopes of clinching the series.
Wimberley’s offense got to work in the top of the third when Jayden Hall hit an RBI double to put the Texans up 1-0.
Later in the top of the fifth inning, Cannon Couch hit a two-run RBI single to extend the Texans lead at 3-0.
Wimberley added two more runs in the top of the sixth when Dewell hit a two-run RBI single of his own to make it a 5-0 lead.
