On Monday, the Wimberley City Council officially swore in the mayor and two new city
council Members for new two-year terms, effective immediately.
Jim Chiles will serve his second term as mayor. Anne Ulfelder was sworn in as city
council member, Place 2, replacing former council member Bo Bowman. Sam Werner
was sworn in as city council member, Place 4, replacing former council member Bob
Clark.
All three candidates ran unopposed in the election.
Andy Cable, Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace, administered the oath of office during the
ceremony held at Wimberley City Hall.
In other action, the Council elected Rebecca Minnick to continue serving as Mayor Pro
Tem.
Terms for Place 1, Place 3, and Place 5 will expire in 2027, as the City’s Council terms
alternate each year.
