Wimberley Arts invests $58,500 in 9 talented graduates
Receiving scholarships from WimberleyArts scholarship committee members Debbie Egan, Dede Taylor and Cathy Moreman, were WHS students Arnold Abilene, Carys Bowling, Myka McClintock, Cody Phillips, Paxton Rigby-Cockle, Emma Schmidt, Jack Speer, Joanna Victoria. At the Wimberley High School awards ceremony held April 30, Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance found at Wimberleyarts.org awarded Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarships to a deserving, talented, and hardworking group of eight Wimberley High School seniors. Earlier, an award was also presented to a senior graduating from Katherine Anne Porter School. Each student received $6,500 to pursue their passions in the arts or building trades at universities and trade schools for a total of $58,500. 

The Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarship honors Robert Moreman, husband of Wimberley Arts founder, Cathy Moreman. 

Supporting annual scholarships are the Wimberley Arts board, scholarship committee and generous donors, as well as the Stars Over Wimberley Benefit Concert Series sponsors, its volunteer team, and The Wimberley Players, who host the concerts. More information about this unique scholarship for creative youth can be found at wimberleyarts.org/scholarships and starsoverwimberley.org.
