The Wimberley Lions Club hosts Wimberley Market Day on Saturday, May 2. Just in time for Mother’s Day on May 10, more than 400 vendors will offer a wide variety of unique gift ideas.
Whether you’re picking up a beautiful plant, selecting a favorite scented handmade soap or potpourri, or finding a bargain on handcrafted home décor, Mom is sure to appreciate the thoughtful gesture.
New to Lions Field since March, is “The Coffee Guys” at Concession #9 who serve up espresso, cappuccino, lattes and mochas.
“I import my own coffee from Italy,” said owner John Imperial. “I’m the only one in the United States who has it. It’s a unique blend made from 12 different beans sourced from around the world.”
Imperial adds his stand can produce “well over 100 drinks an hour,” ensuring quick service for the thirsty. Coffee prices range from $3 to $6, with an additional $1 for an extra shot of espresso or added flavoring.
Free, live music will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on the May 2 Market Day, featuring “Above the Dirt” on the Pavilion Stage, “Rosedale” on the Shady Grove Stage, and Randy Kier on the Hilltop Stage.
Wimberley Market Day is held on the first Saturday of each month, rain or shine. Shopping hours in May are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Lions Field is located off FM 2325, about a mile from the Wimberley Square. A $10 parking donation collected by the Lions Club helps fund local grants and scholarships.
