Local businesses are helping the Wimberley Village Library raise funds during April. The Leaning Pear is helping with a coin funnel and roundup option. Restaurant patrons have the opportunity to round up their bill or toss change into a coin funnel when they leave. All funds received go to the Wimberley Village Library Foundation which helps fund improvements.
Recently, the foundation funded 30 new parking spaces and a walkway to Chapel in the Hills, allowing some shared parking for both facilities. Upcoming projects include resurfacing and restriping the older parking lot, adding an outdoor awning and furniture for the outside patio adjacent to the Community Room, and other improvements.
Blanco Brew is also hosting a round-up fundraiser at the register. Customers may round up their purchases and those funds will go directly to the Wimberley Library’s children’s department to support their summer reading programs.
