To mark 25 years of community history and progress since Wimberley incorporated as a city in 2000, a time capsule of commemorative items has been sealed and buried at Oak Park.
Mayor Jim Chiles said, “Today we mark 25 years of Wimberley — a city defined by creativity, resilience and a deep sense of belonging. This time capsule carries our commitments and our dreams to the Wimberley of 2050. May the next generation open it to find a community that honored its past and continued to build a future worthy of this ‘little slice of heaven.’”
To share this special event, the City of Wimberley is hosting a Time Capsule Ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m. at Oak Park, 102 Oak Drive, followed by a Chamber of Commerce mixer at Rocky Mountain Crepes, 208 Oak Drive. Door prizes will be given away.
