The Texans split their final two non-district games of the season, falling to Lago Vista but beating Thorndale on Friday.
Wimberley enters this week with an 8-6-1 overall record.
In their Wednesday game against Lago Vista, the Texans fell behind 1-0 in the top of the second inning on an RBI single.
Lago Vista added on to their lead with another RBI single in the top of the fifth before an RBI groundout made it a 3-0 game.
The Vikings tacked on another two runs following a two-run RBI double, making it a 5-0 game.
The Texans made their comeback in the bottom of the fifth when Sage Hall scored on a balk following an RBI single by Maverick Jacobs, making it a 5-2 game.
The Vikings tacked on another run on an RBI double as the Texans enter their final at-bat down 6-2.
Wimberley loaded up the bases on three consecutive walks before Carter Meeks forced a bases loaded walk to cut the deficit down to 6-3.
Gentry McGinnis made it a one-run after connecting with a two-run RBI single as the Texans made it a 6-5 game. Wimberley looked to complete the comeback but a flyout ended the game for the Texans.
On Friday, Wimberley looked to bounce back against Thorndale.
Jacob Abrusley scored first the Texans, hitting an RBI single to take the lead 1-0 in the top of the first.
Wimberley added on to their lead in the top of the fourth as Meeks scored on a Thorndale error.
The Bulldogs made their comeback in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs to take a 5-2 lead.
However, the Texans responded in the top of the fifth.
Following back to back walks, Abrusley hit an RBI single, cutting the deficit down to 5-3.
After Sage Hall scored another run on a Thorndale error before Dane Mignerey hit a two-run RBI triple to give the Texans the lead at 6-5. Jake Dewell scored Mignerey on a sacrifice fly to extend the lead.
Cannon Couch hit a two-run RBI double before an RBI single by Abrusley made it a 10-5 game.
The Texans tacked on another two runs on an error and a Sage Hall sacrifice fly before going on to win 12-5.
Wimberley starts district play this week as the Texans battled arch-rival Canyon Lake for a two-game series.
The Hawks enter the series with a 13-3-1 overall record, coming off wins over Antonian Prep and San Antonio Taft.
First pitch for Tuesday is set for 7:30 p.m. in Wimberley while first pitch for Friday is set for 7 p.m. in Canyon Lake.
