With the changing of the season, the time to enjoy the Spring weather has arrived and so have the Concerts in the Park. Live music, local food and time outdoors on the Swim Lawn at Blue Hole Regional Park beckons with the Hill Country Honeys, Stratocrackers, Chasing Tigers and Jesse Stratton on stage.

The free concerts, made possible by the generous support of The Friends of Wimberley Parks, take place every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., weather permitting, beginning April 3. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for an evening of live music under the trees.

Available for purchase during the concert is food from Schoolyard Dogs and ice cream from Monster Treats. Beer and wine will be available from Roughhouse Brewing.

On April 3, Wimberley’s multi-instrumentalists and vocalists, the Hill Country Honeys, will perform their brand of Americana originals and classic country. Taking the stage are Rose Gabriel, Mindy Turner, Sloane Michael and Amber Lucille.

On April 10, the Stratocrackers rock the best tunes of the 70s, 80s and 90s, as well as their own originals, backed by solid musicianship, vocals and a superb audio system.

On April 17, Chasing Tigers, from San Marcos, will perform their danceable blend of independent rock with reggae and psychedelic overtones. Groove-rock members are Carson Weems, Miles Love, Logan Potter and Colin on drums.

On April 24, Wimberley’s singer-songwriter, Jesse Stratton, will take the stage to regale listeners with his heartfelt songs and experiences.
