Wimberley High School tennis brought home multiple medals from the Pflugerville Connally Cougar Classic, highlighted by two first-place finishes in doubles competition.
The Texans swept the top spot in both boys and girls doubles at the tournament. Kate Carson and Kennedy Carson captured the championship in girls doubles, while Marcus Gonzales and Branton Kirchner claimed first place in boys doubles.
Wimberley also had strong performances in mixed doubles. Kevin Alvarado and Emma Pierce finished second in the mixed doubles bracket, while Logan Carpenter and Kyndan Gilley earned third place in the same division.
In singles competition, Gus Moore placed third in boys singles to add another medal to the Texans’ overall tournament haul.
