The Lady Texan soccer team is one step closer to capturing another district championship after beating both Davenport and Fredericksburg.
Wimberley improves their overall record to 17-1-1 and their district record to 9-0.
The Lady Texans started the week on the road to take on district title contender Davenport.
Wimberley scored two goals in the first half to take the early lead and didn’t look back. The Lady Texans rolled to a 3-1 win.
The Lady Texans returned home Friday for the start of a three-game homestand as Wimberley took on the rival Fredericksburg Battlin’ Billies.
Wimberley once again dominated, scoring three first half goals before adding two more in the second half to secure a 5-0 win.
The Lady Texans will look to wrap up the district championship this week as Wimberley hosts both Canyon Lake and Bandera, the former being for the district championship, with the latter being on senior night.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. for both games.
