The Wimberley Institute of Cultures is holding “A Dram Good Time!” fundraiser at Craigieloch Castle in Fischer. Russ Kempton, Certified Spirit Specialist and America’s Most Spirited Speaker, will take ticketholders on “A Journey through Scotland and Ireland” with a guided tasting of four Scottish and four Irish whiskies.
With over 40 years in the alcoholic beverage business, Russ is a foremost expert in the field of adult beverages. As one of the nation’s premier spirits and wine educators, he will lead guests on an educational journey through the world of spirits, teaching the art of tasting, savoring and discerning the finest liquors the world has to offer.
The original date for the fundraiser was February 26 and it sold out quickly. WIC has added a second date, February 25, with tickets now available.
Tasting tickets are $100 per person and include four Scottish and four Irish whiskies, as well as a selection of hors d’oeuvres. For those not planning to participate in the tasting journey with a spouse or partner who is, add a “Companion” ticket for an additional $50, which includes wines and hors d’oeuvres.
Tickets are very limited. Ticket sales will be closed approximately one week before the event, or until sold out. For registration information or other questions, please email WIC at [email protected]. All proceeds go toward WIC’s 2026 scholarship fund.
