Wimberley conservatives host meet the candidates Feb. 15

The second Meet the Candidates will take place February 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wimberley VFW Post #6441, 401 Jacobs Well Road. Hosted by the Wimberley Valley Conservatives, the event will allow voters to meet Michael Salvo, the next Hays County Republican Chair and Joe Jamieson, the new Precinct 3 judge.

Meet Congressional District 21 candidates Michael Wheeler, Trey Trainor, Daniel Betts and Paul Rojas; Hays County District Judge candidate Paul Still; Pct 3 Justice of the Peace candidate Joe Jamieson; Texas Court of Criminal Appeals candidates Leslie Fitzpatrick and Thomas Smith; Hays County District Attorney candidate Kirsta Melton, who is running as an Independent; Texas Court of Criminal Appeals candidate Kevin Yeary; and Hays County Judge candidate Geoffrey Tahuahua.

The event includes a potluck dinner, door prizes and a Q & A with candidates.

Correction: Hays County District Attorney candidate Kirsta Melton is running as an Independent. Due to the title of the article originally referencing Republican candidates, it appeared she was running in the Republican Primary. There is no Republican candidate for Hays County District Attorney. We apologize for the error.
