The Lady Texans are back in the postseason for the sixth consecutive season after beating both Canyon Lake and Bandera this past week.

Wimberley improves to 14-18 overall and 5-4 in district play, firmly in third place.

The Lady Texans started their week on the road against archrival Canyon Lake.

It was dominating performance by the Lady Texans who defeated the Hawks 70-20.

The Lady Texans returned for the final home game of the regular season on Friday in a massive district showdown against the Bandera Bulldogs.

With the winner gaining the leg up on the race to be the No. 1 seed representing District 26 in the 4A Division playoffs, a win was critical for the Lady Texans.

The pressure of winning was no sweat for the Lady Texans who defeated the Bulldogs 72-37, clinching their playoff berth.

Wimberley will wrap up the season on the road against Fredericksburg on Tuesday. The Texans will await their playoff seeding with the final playoff spot going to the winner of Long Creek and Bandera.

A win by the Dragons will send both the Long Creek and Davenport to the Division I playoffs while Fredericksburg and Wimberley will be sent to the Division II playoffs with the Billies as the No. 1 seed and the Lady Texans as the No. 2 seed.

A win by the Bulldogs will send Davenport and Fredericksburg to the Division I playoffs while Bandera and Wimberley will go Division II with the Lady Texans being the No. 1 seed the former being the No. 2 seed.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Fredericksburg High School.
