Back on the road, the Lady Texans added two more wins to their resume, beating both Fredericksburg and archrival Canyon Lake.
Wimberley improves to 12-1-1 overall and 4-0 in district play.
The Lady Texans started the week on the road against the Battlin’ Billies.
Wimberley won by mercy rule, scoring eight goals in the first half, before scoring three more to win 11-1 over their Hill Country rivals.
The Lady Texans were back on the road Friday as Wimberley made the trip across the Backbone to face-off with archrival Canyon Lake. Last season both the Lady Texans and the Hawks played to draws in both games.
This time Wimberley made sure there was no doubt who the queens of the Backbone were. Trailing 1-0 in the second half, the Lady Texans scored three unanswered goals to secure a 3-1 district win.
Wimberley will close out their three-game road stand Tuesday night against Bandera before going on their bye Friday.
