The Texans sit on top of the district standings, defeating the frontrunners New Braunfels Long Creek and San Antonio Davenport.
Wimberley remains perfect in district play with a 5-0 record and improving their overall record to 28-2.
The Texans started the week at home against the New Braunfels Long Creek Dragons. Wimberley exploded on offense, dropping over 80 points in the Texans 85-43 win.
Junior Reece Wortham led the team in scoring with 24 points followed by senior Paul Gumbert-Mendoza with 23 points. Senior Holden Crawford was third in scoring with 11.
Gumbert-Mendoza led the team in rebounds with 10 to complete the double-double along with a team leading five assists.
Gumbert-Mendoza and Micah Birdsong led the team in steals with six each.
In a highly anticipated matchup, the Texans were back on the road to face-off with previously undefeated Davenport in a clash of district title contenders.
Holding the Wolves to just five points in the fourth quarter, the Texans dominated the Wolves for a 62-37 win.
Gumbert-Mendoza and Wortham led the team in scoring with 16 points each followed by senior Holden Crawford with 11 points.
Gumbert-Mendoza led the team in rebounds with six and assists with seven.
Through the first half of district play, the Texans have dominated their opponents, scoring an average of 74.4 points per game and holding opponents to an average of just 39 points per game.
Wimberley restarts the second half of district play in the hunt for their first district championship since 2018 Tuesday at home against Canyon Lake before going on the road Friday against Bandera. Both games start at 6:30 p.m.
