The Lady Texans took a stumble in the hunt for the postseason as Wimberley fell to New Braunfels Long Creek and Davenport this week.
Wimberley drops their overall record to 12-18 and their district record to 3-4. Despite the two losses the Lady Texans sit in third place in District 26 Class 4A and have a claim to the No. 1 seed going into the 4A Division II playoffs.
The Lady Texans started the week against the Long Creek Dragans, where Wimberley fell 52-49 in a close battle.
Wimberley closed out the week at home against the Davenport Wolves where the Lady Texans fell 56-39.
With just three games left in the regular season, the Lady Texans will look to wrap up their postseason berth this week.
Wimberley travels to Canyon Lake on Tuesday for a showdown with the archrival Hawks before returning home Friday against Bandera. Both games are scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
