Registration for Blue Hole Summer camps begins Feb. 1

Wimberley Parks and Recreation announced this week that registration for all 2026 camps at Blue Hole Regional Park begins February 1.

Designed for children ages six to 12, camps encourage children to explore, learn and grow through creative, hands-on and friendship-making games. Sessions run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., except for a one-week break from June 29 to July 3.

In addition to the camps, Counselor-in-Training opportunities are available for teens aged 13 to 15. The leadership experience offered by the CIT program helps teens build essential skills such as mentoring, teamwork and responsibility while supporting younger campers and having fun. Teens aged 13 to 15 may join the program for $100 per week. Spaces fill quickly, so early registration is urged.

On February 1, families may register for the following 2026 camps:

Spring Break Camp

During the Wimberley Independent School District spring break, Wimberley Parks and Rec will host Spring Break Camp, allowing campers to test the waters of Blue Hole Nature Camp. From March 16 to 20, campers will explore Blue Hole’ natural world with themed challenges. Cost is $200 per week.

Blue Hole Nature Camp

From May 25 to August 7, Nature Camp connects kids to the natural world through hands-on learning and outdoor adventures. Campers will explore native wildlife, local ecosystems and conservation, all while developing an appreciation for the environment in a community-focused setting. Notable weeks include Much and Mayhem, Bug Bonanza, and Amazing Animals. Cost is $250 a week for Wimberley residents or $300 a week for nonresidents.

Wimberley Summer Camp

From June 1 to July 31, Summer Camp offers an indoor experience at the Wimberley Community Center. Campers enjoy a variety of activities designed to spark creativity, encourage teamwork and promote exploration in a safe and welcoming environment. Notable weeks include Amazing Animals, Music and Motion and Science Lab. Cost is $200 a week for Wimberley residents or $250 a week for nonresidents.
