At last week’s city council meeting, Former Mayor Jeff Rasco was officially welcomed to the Woodcreek City Council, to fill the spot vacated by Russell Scott.

Waste Connections will begin brush pickups. Brush must be out and ready by Sunday evening, February 1. To ensure a pickup, citizens must register in advance by January 29 at on the City Website under Forms Directory - Brush Pickup Registration.

Brush and limb Piles must be stacked in front of properties the evening of Sunday, February 1.

Branches must be piled neatly into three feet by four feet stacks for easy access and branches must be trimmed to four foot lengths. Piles cannot be within four feet of any obstacles such as gas or water meters, telephone service boxes, overhead wires of any kind, parked cars, building overhangs, mailboxes, fences or the low hanging branches of trees, otherwise they will not be picked up.

Note: Once the company services a street, they will not return. To ensure your brush is picked up, you must register in advance.

Last day to trim Oaks is January 31.

The last day for Oak tree trimming is January 31. To protect tree health and prevent oak wilt, Oak trees cannot be trimmed from February 1 through June 30.

A tree permit is required through Woodcreek City Hall for any tree trimming or removal.
