Free rabies vaccine drive

Apollo Veterinary is hosting a free Rabies Vaccine Drive, January 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Apollo Veterinary, 101 Twilight Trail, in Wimberley.

Apollo is providing 200 free feline and canine rabies vaccines to combat the recent outbreaks in Hays County. The drive is to ensure that pets remain safe and up-to-date on the rabies vaccine. RSVPs are requested. Call 512-648-6477 to help make you and your pet’s experience seamless.

“At Apollo Vet, we are offering a free rabies vaccination drive because we’ve seen a real spike in local pets encountering rabid foxes over the past year. With the Texas State Lab reporting more positive cases than usual, we just want to make it as easy as possible for folks in the Wimberley Valley to get their pets vaccinated and keep everyone a little safer. We believe in removing barriers for pets and our neighbors in need, and this is just one way we can come together to help the community,” said Apollo Founder Dr. Mike Walker.

Apollo Veterinary is an open-concept veterinary clinic located at 101 Twilight Trail. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit apollovets.com for more information.
