After Holiday Blues - Part One

Is It Just Me?

Sometimes, when a holiday is over, it is easy to get the blues for awhile. Even though it is stressful preparing for those big days, we still miss them. I have found a way to alleviate that sadness - mostly. What if we had more less stressful holidays to look forward to all year. We can pick and choose which ones we want to celebrate. Although I have missed a few good ones already this year, I will plan to celebrate them in 2027. Here are some of my favorites.

Buffet Day January 2

Even though I have eaten my way through the holidays, this sounds like one more treat to look forward to.

Static Electricity Day - Jan 9 This just sounds like fun and shocking to my friends. Hopefully, they will continue to be my friends after January 9th.

Hot Sauce Day Jan 22 Anyone who knows me knows that I love salsa or hot sauce. I could almost drink it and today would be the day to try that.

Play Your

Ukulele Day Feb 2

I bought a Ukulele a few years ago because I thought it would be easy to learn. It only has 4 strings, so how hard would that be? It has sat in my closet since I tried to play it once, but maybe if I knew there was a holiday for Ukulele”s, I might get it back out.

Do A Grouch a Favor Day - Feb 16 Even grouches need a little kindness. I am sure that if I sat at the Square for a few hours, I would find a grouch to give a flower to.

Tortilla Chip Day - Feb 24 This is a no-brainer. I can think of lots of ways to eat tortilla chips for breakfast, lunch and dinner today. It is just going to be difficult for me to wait for this holiday.

Napping Day Mar 9 I have been practicing all year for this holiday.

International Goof-Off Day Mar 22 This is another day I have been working on to make this a perfect holiday.
