Join a Mom, her daughter and three possible fathers on a whirlwind Greek adventure about lost-and-found love and self discovery with Mamma Mia!, hitting the Bass Concert Hall stage April 14-19, 2026 as part of the Texas Performing Arts Broadway in Austin 2025-2026 season.

Told through a soundtrack of uber-catchy ABBA songs, Mamma Mia! takes place leading up to the wedding of Sofia Sheridan, who has recently discovered that she has not one but three potential Dads while reading her mother’s diary. Said diary details the wild, exciting exploits of a fearless Donna Sheridan, who fell in love with three different men during a brief and impetuous period of her youth.

In an effort to learn more about her past while preserving her mother’s sanity, Sofia conspires to secretly invite all three of her possible fathers to her wedding. Shenanigans ensue as each man arrives in the Greek island paradise to reconnect with Donna, the young woman they each remember with such fondness. The cast also includes Donna’s two Ride-Or-Die BFFs who join the wedding party. These self-made women simultaneously encourage Donna to reclaim the vibrance of her younger days while confronting the unfinished business of her past.

The 25th Anniversary production of Mamma Mia! made a triumphant return to Broadway in August 2025 for a limited six-month run at the Winter Garden Theatre, where it had its first Broadway opening in 2001. To date, the beloved musical has been seen in 50 productions and 16 different languages and played for a record-breaking 14 years on Broadway. The movie adaptation of Mamma Mia became the highest-grossing live action musical film of all time upon its release in 2008. The playbook features iconic ABBA songs such as “Dancing Queen,” “SOS” and “Take A Chance On Me.”

Tickets start at $36 and are available at TexasPerformingArts.org and BroadwayinAustin.com, by phone at (512) 471-1444 or from the Texas Performing Arts ticket office at Bass Concert Hall.
