“Light the Fire Within,” a holiday and winter-themed program by the Wimberley Community Chorus will present a mixture of nostalgic, contemporary and classical works to celebrate the season. The choir will sing “An Irving Berlin Christmas,” the medley of songs from the film, “White Christmas” and the swingy “Getting in the Mood (for Christmas)” along with familiar carols to which listeners may join. Their program also includes the fun novelty song “One of those Southern Winters” and “A La Nañita Nana.” Afterwards, there will be a reception with seasonal refreshments.
The chorus will present two programs, one Saturday, December 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 7 at 3 p.m. Both will be held in Avey Hall of The Chapel in the Hills at 14601 RR 12 in Wimberley. Donations accepted.
