The Cottonpickerts looked to answered back in the second quarter, going on a long drive to inside the Wimberley 30yard line. However, the Code Red defense held firm and stopped Robstown on fourth down to give the ball back to the offense.

After stopping the Texans on their next drive, the Cottonpickers struck again, scoring on a 55-yard touchdown pass, making it a 31-20 game.

Though the Texans lead was down to a two-possesion game, Wimberley did not yield to pressure of needing to score. The Texans drove down the field to the Robstown seven-yard line before Jacobs scored his fourth touchdown of the game, making it a 38-20 game.

Robstown looked to make one more down three possessions but the Code Red defense put the nail in the coffin for the Cottonpickers comeback hopes. After the Cottonpickers went down to the Texans 35-yard line, junior Micah Espinoza made the interception before returning the ball 77 yards for the touchdown to make the final score 45-20.

Senior Jackson Parker passed for 172 yards for the Texans with sophomore Bennett German leading the team in receiving with five catches for 50 yards. Junior Colt Wright was second with three catches for 45 yards. The Texans rushed for 286 yards with Jacobs leading the way.
