Everything you loved about a Prairie Home Companion but with a Wimberley Twist, the Wimberley Players present their unique Hill Country Home Companion live radio show again for the 2025 season. By popular demand, the performance is available now on two separate nights, December 29 and 30. The benefit features an expanded lineup of live radio sketches crafted by local playwrights and brought to life by talented WP cast and crew. With humor and heart, the show is an affectionate send up of quirky Hill Country living.
The fancy-dress, red carpet evening includes a two-hour live performance, music from The Jazz Messenger Boys, an intermission with bubbles, brews and bites and a New Years Eve Eve afterparty. Tickets, available at WimberleyPlayers. org, are $95 per person and include two drink tickets, desserts and hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar is available all evening. The Wimberley Playhouse is located at 450 Old Kyle Rd. in Wimberley. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the curtain is at 7.
Proceeds go toward attracting top talent and the continuation of high quality performances at the Wimberley Playhouse.
