Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarship launches 2025 campaign

For four years, WimberleyArts.org, has proudly supported talented Wimberleyarea high school graduates, helping them transform their passion for the arts and building trades into promising futures through the Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarship.

As the program enters its fifth year, WimberleyArts. org announces the launch of their 2025 Scholarship Campaign, which will raise funds for 2026 graduates.

Since its inception in 2022, these scholarships have provided life-changing support to talented graduates from Wimberley High and Katherine Anne Porter, as well as homeschooled and single gap year graduates residing in the 78676 zip code pursuing their passions in the literary, visual, performing and culinary arts, as well as the building trades. To date 22 students have received Robert Moreman scholarships and are attending schools across Texas and as far away as NYU and Savannah College of Art and Design. Each has received an award of at least $5000. This has been made possible through the generosity of many donors who recognize the importance of investing in Wimberley’s next generation of artists, creators and makers.

These students and their parents express heartfelt gratitude, sharing how the funds have helped with tuition, housing, books, food and other essential needs, often providing funds that made a critical difference.

Here are just a few inspiring updates from Robert Moreman Scholarship recipients: -One student studying drama at New York University, was accepted into the Classical Studio, NYU’s most selective and rigorous sub-program dedicated to Shakespearean performance. This semester he’ll study abroad in Paris.

-New this year to the marching band at Texas State University, one scholarship recipient is proudly performing on the field this fall.

-Another student is focusing on technical welding for her engineering program at Austin Community College.

-A parent joyfully thanked WimberleyArts after their son received a scholarship to study construction science at Abilene Christian University.

As the program enters its fifth year, WimberleyArts. org has launched their 2025 Campaign to raise funds for 2026 graduates. Every donation is fully tax-deductible, and every dollar helps local students reach their full potential as the creators of tomorrow. Learn more and donate atWimberleyArts. org/scholarships- about.
