WIC’s new “Legends & Lore” series
The Wimberley Institute of Cultures is launching a brand new series of talks called “Legends & Lore,” on November 6.
The debut program of the quarterly series, “Stephen F. Austin, Father of Texas,” will explore the remarkable life and legacy of one of Texas’s most influential founders. The evening will begin with a 6:30 p.m. mingle, featuring hors d’oeuvres and drinks, followed by the presentation and a question and answer time from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
“We’re excited to introduce this new series as a way to bring Texas history to life and to celebrate the stories that shaped our region,” said a WIC spokesperson. “Each ‘Legends & Lore’ event will spotlight fascinating figures and moments from Texas history in an engaging and social setting.”
Space is limited, and registration is required. Attendees may register online at www.wimwic.org.
This event is free. As always, donations to the WIC Foundation are always appreciated and help support the organization’s ongoing mission to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Wimberley Valley.
