I have recently being thinking about Goldilocks and how she tested three of the little bears beds until she found the one that was "just right." When I was a kid, I didn't know there was another kind of bed other than mine. I slept in that same bed throughout school with no problems. As I have gotten older, my bed is very important to me and has to be "just right." After going through a number of mattresses and even a water bed, I am still on the search for my "just right" bed. I have added different thicknesses of mattress toppers, fluffy mattress covers (even two at once) and nothing seems to be right. I finally found a five-inch shredded memory foam mattress topper that seems to be what I need. After letting it expand and dragging it into my bedroom, I had to leave it on the floor until I took off the various mattress covers I'd layered on my bed. I heaved, pulled, strained to take the straps from the original mattress and finally dragged them all to the floor. With my last remaining muscle that was still partially working, I pulled the newest five-inch shredded foam mattress cover onto the bed. I was exhausted but feeling that I'd finally found the answer to my "just right" bed. I have a smart watch that tracks my steps and exercise and I look at it often. After what seemed like hours of work to get my bed to its "just right" stage, I looked at my watch. I was incredulous to see that I'd had just two minutes of exercise. What the heck? The watch must be broken. But back to my bed. I couldn't wait to try it out. Unfortunately, I found that sleeping on shredded memory foam is like sleeping on a stack of kindling. When I finally get my strength back, I will take my bed apart and add my four-inch memory topper over the shredded foam pad. I wish I could talk with Goldilocks to find out where I can get her "just right" bed without having to visit the three little bears.
