As a long-time resident and concerned citizen of Woodcreek, I am writing to support the election of Linda Swedberg to the Woodcreek City Council this November. My support does not come lightly. I have first-hand experience working with Linda on community boards and have seen her leadership in action. She will bring her skills and experience to bear on working within the City Council to carry out complex projects and initiatives for the good of all Woodcreek residents. She is committed to building on the achievements of the current mayor and council, such as repairing and paving roads, creating attractive community gathering places, and building a safe playground for the growing number of younger Woodcreek families.
These achievements were often reached through obtaining funding and grants that minimized an impact on taxpayer funds. As a landscape architect who designed Augusta Park in Woodcreek and the Martha Knies park in Wimberley, I recognize her commitment to protect and expand green spaces for the use of all residents, encourage water conservation, rainwater collection, and aquifer protection, and to search out funding and grants to offset their project costs. Linda will work to keep Woodcreek moving forward while preserving what makes Woodcreek a unique and beautiful place to live.
