Is It Just Me?

These car-related adventures are from both my readers and me.

She stood in front of her car, clicking the remote over and over and the car still wouldn’t open. Then she realized it was the wrong car.

They parked in a parking garage and quickly hurried to the concert. After the concert was over, they realized that they didn’t remember where they parked and roamed around the multistory garage pressing the remote. They could hear the beep but couldn’t tell which floor the car was on. They were lucky they found their car before their remote battery wore down.

She waited at the same bus stop to go to work. A co-worker told her that she passes that bus stop on the way to work and would be happy to stop and pick her up. One day, she saw a car stop at the bus stop and she ran over and got in – it was not the co-worker. It was someone who stopped at the red light.

She parked her business car in the parking lot and used the remote to lock the door before she realized her brief case was still inside the car. She couldn’t get the remote to work and needed her briefcase for a meeting. Huffing, she went into the office and directly to the HR Department to complain that the car would not open and she needed to get inside. The HR Person responded, “Did you try the key?”

He could not figure out how to open the cap to get gas for his new car. There was no lever inside and no button beside the cap. Finally, he had to look at the car manual and found that he just had to press slightly on the cap and it would pop open.

She left her coffee on top of her car when she left the house – two days in a row.

After ranting and using bad words at the rental car for giving her the wrong directions, a voice came over the speaker that said, “Can I help you?”
