Joseph Jamieson, a longtime resident of Wimberley, has officially announced his candidacy for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3 in Hays County.
Jamieson has served the Wimberley community since 2008 as a Paramedic for Wimberley Emergency Medical Services and has been a Wimberley resident for approximately 39 Years. With a background in public service and a deep connection to the community, he is committed to continue bringing the fairness, accountability and integrity to the Justice Court that Judge Andrew Cable has provided thus far.
“I believe the role of Justice of the Peace is about serving people with compassion, while upholding the law with consistency,” said Jamieson. “I’ve dedicated my career to helping people, and I want to continue that service in this position.”
Jamieson is a graduate of Wimberley High School, and along with his wife Jennifer, has raised two children in Wimberley. He is also the owner of multiple local businesses that provide everything from vacation rentals to new construction homes.
The campaign will focus on learning the needs of the community, ongoing court observation with Judge Andrew Cable and continuing to serve in any way possible.
