FM 3237 roundabout wins award

The Hays County Commissioners and engineering consulting firm American Structurepoint have earned the 2025 Norman Hogue Roundabout Project of the Year Award for engineering excellence for the FM 3237 and FM 150 Roundabout project.

The award is given annually by the Texas District of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (TexITE). It is named for a longtime TexITE member who championed roundabout design throughout the state.

American Structurepoint engineers designed a single-lane roundabout to replace a dangerous “T” intersection that had a history of high-speed crashes. Key project goals focused on improving safety in a rapidly growing community while also preserving its distinctive character.
