KWVH says thank you, Oct. 7

Wimberley Valley Radio invites Wimberley to join in celebrating its 10-year anniversary and the people who make local radio possible.

“This party is our way of saying thank you to our volunteers, our partners, and this incredible community that makes KWVH possible,” said Tim Kiesling, KWVH General Manager. “We wouldn’t be here without the support of our neighbors.”

More than 100 volunteers power KWVH, producing original local programming, delivering timely community updates and broadcasting awardwinning coverage of Texan Athletics. The station also amplifies the work of over 80 local nonprofits through on-air promotions and partnerships.

The Volunteer and Community Appreciation Party will be held October 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lions Field Pavilion. The event is free and open to the public and guests are invited to enjoy complimentary food and beverages served by the Lions Club and Schoolyard Dogs and live music from the Hill Country Honeys.

KWVH show hosts, board members and the many volunteers who bring Wimberley Valley Radio to life will be on hand to meet listeners and supporters. The Lions Field Pavilion is the centerpiece of Wimberley’s monthly Market Day. Free parking is available across FM2325 in Lot 1.

KWVH is a 100% independent, listener-supported station, funded solely by local and regional donors and underwriters.
