The St. Martin de Porres Knights of Columbus Council 11695 will hold their annual Hill Country Golf Shootout golf tournament on September 27, at Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco.
Fundraiser proceeds will be divided between the Knights’ ongoing direct support of charitable activities in the Dripping Springs community, and the building capital campaign for St. Martin de Porres Catholic Parish, which is constructing a 1,000-seat sanctuary building on its campus at 230 Post Oak Drive in Dripping Springs. The new sanctuary’s aim is to meet the growing needs of the Catholic community in North Hays County.
Registration for the tournament closes Sept. 23. Team entries are $680, and individual entries are $170.
Capable Transport of Buda is sponsoring the hole-in-one contests. Golfers can win $20,000 by making a hole-in-one on hole #12, to be split 50/50 with the tourney’s charity, or great prizes with holesin- one on other Par 3 holes.
Tourney sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels and for different options, such as hosting veterans from the Center for the Intrepid-Brook Army Medical Center. The Center for the Intrepid provides rehabilitation for Operation Iraqi Freedom/ Operation Enduring Freedom casualties who have sustained amputation, burns or functional limb loss.
