Excitement is building for the September 24 WimberleyArts & Soul Soiree at the Videre Estate. Organized by the Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance (WimberleyArts. org), the inaugural gala celebrates ten years of contributing to the creative vitality of the Wimberley Valley. It is also the tenth anniversary of the area’s important designation as a Texas Cultural District by the Texas Commission on the Arts, which WimberleyArts oversees on behalf of the community.
This year’s gala, WimberleyArts & Soul Soiree, with seated dinner and dancing, promises to be the event of the season, with creative surprises for every ticketholder.

As a membership alliance, WimberleyArts is a program creator, a convener and an arts and cultural ambassador for the Wimberley Valley. The organization’s achievements are considerable and include the Wimberley Alive Festivals, several popular Wings Over Wimberley Festivals, multiple Story Fest events, and the Stars Over Wimberley Concert Series that benefits the Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Looking forward, WimberleyArts plans to take an even more active lead in cultivating the creative life of the community. The board believes that the Wimberley Valley’s identity as a unique creative enclave needs to be protected and nurtured as the area faces the demands of growth in the coming years. To carry this out, the organization seeks to professionalize their organization so that, in collaboration with community stakeholders, they can achieve the vision of securing the Wimberley Valley’s identity as an arts and cultural area of significance by developing and managing a new cultural arts center in Wimberley. The gala is an opportunity to learn about, contribute to and further their vision.
