During the morning hours on September 4 a student notified Hays Consolidated Independent School District staff that they heard another peer speak about having a firearm on campus. A Hays High School student was detained by Hays County School Resource Officer's, or SROs. Staff and SROs immediately began an investigation. During the course of the investigation, they discovered a fifteen-year-old male juvenile was in possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number. The juvenile has been transported to Hays County Juvenile Detention Center for thefollowing offenses: Felony 2- Unl Carry Weapon Prohibit Places IAT WFZ Felony 3- Threat Exhbt/Use Firearm School/Bus w/Poss/Acc Misdemeanor A- Unl Carrying Weapon Misdemeanor A- Tamper w/Identification Numbers
