25 years of taking the scenic route
Get ready, Wimberley, it's time to honor a very special milestone: Wimberley's 25th Birthday. This month and through the end of 2025, the city is celebrating its anniversary with a series of events, plenty of good-natured humor, and a few sur-prises that residents and visitors alike are bound to remember. If you haven't noticed them already, there are witty reminders posted around the square that only residents, intimate with Wimberley's trajectory of the last quarter decade, can truly appreciate. Also in September, an interactive chalkboard, perfect for selfies, market stalls and a stage for live music will be unveiled at Oak Park, along with the city's new EV charging station. In October, Trick or Treat on the Square and Boo Hole will take place again, and in November, a Sip & Shop and Hometown Holidays will kick off with a downtown parade, toy drive and a tree lighting. In December, the Santa Pub Crawl and Cup of Cheer return and to cap off the year, a time capsule will be installed at Oak Park just as a ball drop event gets under way on New Year's eve.
