Tom Dudzick’s tender and heartwarming family dramedy “King o’ the Moon” opens this Friday, Sept. 12, at The Wimberley Players.
The story follows the Pazinski family in July 1969 as they orbit their late father’s memory — and their own personal chaos — while the Apollo 11 mission prepares to touch down on the moon.
Directed by the Players’ own two-time BroadwayWorld Austin- award winning Rebecca Woods and assistant directed by Charlize Cosmas and Donna Provencher, the cast is headlined by veterans of the Players stage like Karen Rudy as matriarch Ellen Pazinski, Danny Mosier as Walter Fronzak, and Emily-Ann Patterson as Annie Pazinski. The cast features Taylor Lueckenotte as Georgie, Andrew Springer as Rudy, Shelby Breda as Maureen, and Connor Clark as Eddie, fresh off his performance as the eponymous Sweeney in “Sweeney Todd.”
“It is such a delight to bring this poignant and touching story to life with such a talented and hard-working cast and production team,” Director Rebecca Woods said.

Friday and Saturday night curtains are 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $30, with student tickets available with ID for $20.
