The Green Team at Wimberley United Methodist Church dedicated its new Bird Viewing Station in August. The viewing station is the culmination of several months of hard work by the Green Team, the Hays County Master Naturalists, church and community members. They made what was once a vision into a concrete reality.
Funded by a Firefly Grant from the Master Naturalists, a grant from Blessed Tomorrow, an ecumenical Creation Care organization, and several substantial individual donations, the bird viewing station is part of a network of stations throughout Hays County.
The station is open to the public for anyone who is interested in watching birds. The Wimberley United Methodist Church is located at 1200 CR1492 at Ranch Road 12.
