Wimberley Glassworks will present its annual Gourdgeous Glass Pumpkin Patch on September 20. The distinctive festival exhibits hundreds of handcrafted glass pumpkins, each one a unique work of art, for kick-starting holiday decorating and gifting.
More than a shopping experience, the family-friendly event, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., includes interactive diversions such as spooky-themed live glassblowing, scavenger hunts, coloring stations for kids, a real pumpkin toss, giveaways and other seasonal activities for kids of all ages.
Glassblowers will make molten glass come to life in a series of Halloween-inspired demos throughout the day. Artists will attempt to create a giant pumpkin, a ghost, a witch hat and one-of-a kind jack o’ lanterns. Glassblowing demonstrations take place at: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Sweet treat and beverages are also part of the fun.
